Setting a standard for transparency and research accessibility

The CERTAINTY project is dedicated to advancing scientific discovery through open and FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles, ensuring that data and publications are both accessible and structured for broad utilization within and beyond the scientific community.

A well-planned Data Management Plan underpins all our actions, facilitating data sharing and reuse long after the project concludes. This meticulous planning ensures that our work has a lasting impact. CERTAINTY generates research data from observations and diverse modeling sources, which undergo further processing and analysis using various software tools. These tools support interactions across different work activities, facilitating reuse and guaranteeing the quality of our data through meticulous documentation of data collection techniques and detailed dataset information.
Additionally, we integrate a comprehensive array of pre-existing measurement data to enhance our research capabilities. The project’s deliverables, reports, and dissemination activities will be made public via CERTAINTY’s designated space on Zenodo, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and the dissemination of knowledge.

To further increase the visibility and impact of our research, scientific articles resulting from the CERTAINTY project will be published mainly in gold open access journals. Additionally, these publications will be self-archived in the Zenodo CERTAINTY community repository. This dual approach ensures immediate access to our research findings and enhances their discoverability and reuse by a broader audience.

By upholding these standards, CERTAINTY works towards transparency and the sharing of scientific knowledge. Our contributions are designed to be valuable and accessible to the global research community, ensuring that our work supports ongoing scientific progress and innovation.
